Sanjay Dutt’s improvisation that shocked everyone
During filming, one moment stood out and stunned the entire crew. In a key scene Sanjay Dutt suddenly grabbed a co-actor by the neck. This action was not planned in advance. As he tightened his grip concern spread across the set.Some crew members suggested about stopping the shoot immediately and the moment felt intense and also unexpected. Director chose to keep rolling
However, Subhash Ghai decided to continue filming. He later explained the scene in detail. In the sequence, Sanjay’s character meets a man in jail. He speaks to him kindly at first.But during a hug, the character suddenly strangles him. Since most of the crew did not know about this change, they were genuinely shocked. Ghai recalled that even his assistant asked to cut the shot. He believed Sanjay had made a mistake.The director, however, trusted the moment. He felt the improvisation added aunthenticity.
