The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has started the online application process for recruitment to various posts in different central government departments and ministries. A total of 194 vacancies have been announced under Advertisement No. 05/2026. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official UPSC recruitment portal, upsconline.nic.in.According to the official notification, the online application process started on May 23, 2026, and the last date to submit the application form is June 12, 2026, till 6 pm.The recruitment drive includes vacancies in several departments such as:

  • Directorate General of Civil Aviation
  • Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises
  • Indian Meteorological Department
  • Archaeological Survey of India
  • Ministry of Jal Shakti
  • Ministry of Tribal Affairs

UPSC recruitment 2026: Eligibility criteria

Educational qualifications and age limits differ depending on the post applied for. Candidates applying for various posts must hold qualifications such as:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Technology (BTech)
  • Master’s Degree
  • Specialised qualifications in relevant fields

The age limit for most posts ranges between 30 years and 40 years, depending on category and post. Age relaxation for reserved categories will be provided as per government rules.
