However, he stressed that he never intended to compare his overall career achievements with legends like Djokovic or rising stars like Alcaraz. Zverev stated that he fully understands the difference in accomplishments. He said he was only speaking about recent performances on tour.He also reflected on his recent losses against Sinner in Madrid and Monaco. According to Zverev, he was disappointed with his own level during those matches and believes he can challenge the Italian if he produces his best tennis. The German pointed to his previous strong performances against Alcaraz as proof that he can compete with the top players when fully confident.Meanwhile, Zverev continues his hunt for a first Grand Slam title at French Open 2026. His chances improved after Arthur Fils withdrew from the tournament because of injury.
