Bihar B.Ed CET 2026 notification has been released for admission to 2-year B.Ed and Shiksha Shastri programmes across universities of Bihar. The entrance examination is conducted by B R Ambedkar Bihar University, Muzaffarpur, designated as the state nodal university for the process.The online application process started on April 27, 2026 and will continue till May 18, 2026 on biharcetbed-brabu.in. Candidates aiming for a teaching career in Bihar must qualify this common entrance test as admission will be granted strictly on merit through CET B.Ed 2026.Overview of Bihar B.Ed CET 2026The examination is for 2-year B.Ed and Shiksha Shastri courses with multiple universities participating across the state. It will be conducted in offline OMR based mode under the supervision of B R Ambedkar Bihar University. Payment is accepted online through debit card credit card net banking or UPI and fees are non refundable.Eligibility criteriaCandidates applying for B.Ed must have graduation or post graduation with at least 50 percent marks. Engineering or technology graduates require 55 percent marks. For Shiksha Shastri programme candidates must have graduation with Sanskrit as main subject or equivalent qualification with minimum 50 percent marks. Applicants should verify eligibility before applying to avoid rejection during counselling.Exam patternThe exam will consist of 120 multiple choice questions carrying 1 mark each with total duration of 2 hours. Sections include general English Sanskrit general Hindi reasoning general awareness and teaching learning environment. There is no negative marking allowing candidates to attempt all questions.Minimum qualifying marksGeneral category requires 42 marks or 35 percent while reserved categories need 36 marks or 30 percent. This scoring system allows selection
